WhatsApp templates allow you to:

Create Template
Template Structure
A template consists of:
- Header (optional): Image, video, or document
- Body: Main message text (up to 1024 characters)
- Footer (optional): Additional text (up to 60 characters)
- Buttons (optional): Quick reply buttons or CTA buttons
Create New Template
- Go to Templates
- Click Create Template
- Fill in template details:
- Name: Unique template identifier
- Category: Select category (Marketing, OTP, etc.)
- Header: Optional media
- Body: Message content with variables
- Footer: Optional footer text
- Buttons: Add action buttons
- Review preview
- Click Submit for Approval
Template Variables
Use variables for dynamic content:
Hi {{name}}, your order {{order_id}} is ready!
Variables reference contact custom fields:
{{name}} - Contact name
{{email}} - Contact email
{{company}} - Company name
- Or any custom field
Template Categories
Choose appropriate category:
- Marketing: Promotions and campaigns
- OTP: One-time passwords and verification
- Transactional: Order confirmations, receipts
- Notification: Updates and alerts
- Account Updates: Password resets, account changes
Approval Process
- Submit template
- WhatsApp reviews (usually 24 hours)
- Status changes to:
- Approved: Ready to use
- Rejected: Update and resubmit
- Pending: Under review
Manage Templates
View Templates
- Go to Templates
- See all templates with status
- Filter by status or category
Edit Template
- Find template
- For Pending templates: Can edit and resubmit
- For Approved templates: Create new version
- For Rejected templates: Edit and resubmit
Delete Template
- Open template
- Click Delete
- Confirm action
Use Templates in Campaigns
- Create campaign
- Select Use Template
- Choose approved template
- Map variables to fields
- Send
Monitor template metrics:
- Go to Analytics → Templates
- View:
- Usage count
- Delivery rate
- Read rate
- Reply rate

- Keep templates concise
